Ollie Manual

Performed by Beechum Jones-filmed by Dorian Tucker

The ollie manual is a good trick to help develop your balance and ollie control. The idea is to ollie and land on your back wheels, riding a "wheelie" for a distance before setting the front wheels down. It can be done on the flat ground or over an object, but is most commonly done up onto an element, like a curb or block. It requires a fair sense of balance, and you should be comfortable ollieing. It might be good to get accustomed to manualling on flat ground before ollieing onto something, but a curb is a good element on which to learn the ollie manual. Ride at the curb at a normal ollie speed - you'll want to go fast enough to get up onto the curb and still have momentum for the manual. Pop into an ollie and get up over the curb. Instead of levelling the board in the air beneath you, keep your leading foot up and your weight centered over the back wheels. The lower you pop your ollie, still clearing the element of course, the smoother you will land on your back wheels and the easier it will be to gain balance once on those wheels. Once on them there back wheels, you'll notice your body arched forward over your board as you ride the manual. This is how you keep your weight balanced on the back wheels. It is useful to try and manual a set distance, like to a line on the sidewalk or off the curb again. This will give you something specific to strive for until you've got the ollie manual so wired that you can just ride it for days. Then you can try variations like the ollie manual to kickflip off of an element, or even the ollie flip to manual. The options are endless.

Best Skate Shoes

Fallen is a incredible skate shoes, the Owner company is Jamie Thomas, and has made it clear that he doesn't want to simply make more skateboarding shoes but he want to make very high quality of skate shoes. For you planet-conscious skaters out there, Fallen makes shoes free of animal products. Fallens are some of my favorite skate shoes to wear.

since the beginning Vans has been around, they've learned how to make great skate shoes. this shoes are some of the best, it's easily. Couses Is a core skateboarding company so you can rest comfortably knowing you are buying quality when you buy Vans.

Globe is an Australian skateboarding shoe who made specially for Women Skater company that creates great skateboarding shoes. these top 3 skate shoe companies each make great shoes - it's hard to rank between these top 3. Globe CT IV - Chet Thomas signature model, if you can find 'em. Recently, they've come out with models like the Vagrant, or the Finale, Gallaz.

DC Shoe Co USA makes some good shoes, though over the last few years I've heard a lot of complaints about them being too mainstream, or that the quality of DC has gone down. I haven't seen a drop in quality at all. With Super Suede, and years of making excellent skate shoes, they know what they are doing. DC also has an H2Zero line - shoes treated to block out water, snow and slush, with extra tread. For snowskates and snow days.

Etnies is Best shoes of skateboard too, the famous skaters who use this shoe is Rune Glifberg, Ryan Sheckler and Elissa Steamer. Etnies is an American footwear manufacturer owned by Sole Technology, Inc. that specializes in shoes and clothing ostensibly for skateboarders, snowboarders, BMX riders and surfers.Since 1986 Etnies has been the skate footwear company for the world, building skate shoes with style, function and quality. Etnies produced the first ever pro model skate shoe, the Natas Kaupas, back in 1987 and has never looked back. They have continued with a real commitment to the style and athletic needs of modern day skateboarding. Etnies has perfected the casual skate shoe with the Callicut, a shoe that has withstood the test of time. Ryan Sheckler's pro model is a great combination of style and function.Etnies is considered to be the most accessible of Sole Technology's brands. While its other manufacturers, éS Footwear and Emerica, focus more narrowly on skateboarding shoes, etnies has a broader focus, such as etnies for babies, and including etnies Girl, a line for women.Etnies sponsors many professional action sports athletes in sports such as Skateboarding, Snowboarding, Surfing, BMX, and Moto-X. And Some athletes it sponsors are Ryan Sheckler, Arto Saari, Bastien Salabanzi, Chris Malloy, Ryan Campbell, Jamie Bestwick, and Eric Jackson.

Osiris. they do make some of the best puffy-style skateboarding shoes you can get. Plus, they have their "private reserve" line, which are regular models, the most popular ones, made with better materials and some insole art. If you want Osiris skateboarding shoes, this is My Favorite Shoes. I recommended to use this. Hahahaha

Emerica makes good skate shoes, and runs a strong skateboarding team with pros like Andrew Reynolds, Jerry Hsu and Ed Templeton. Skateboarding shoes like the Emerica Reynolds 3 certainly help, with its solid proven design. Emerica also has some strong designs and style - try the Kirchart 4s, and see what I mean. Emerica is closely related to Etnies, so if you like one, you must be like the other shoes. hahaha

Adio has a ridiculous team. Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, Shaun White, Jeremy Wray ... the list keeps going. But what about the shoes? They're good. Adios are well built and highly skateable - it's usually a bad idea to base your purchases off of who endorses the product, but you know that guys with names this big don't want to be associated with crud. Check 'em out. Their pro model skateboarding shoes all come named after the rider, then a version number. That's it. So, check out Adios and give 'em a shot.

Nike Skateboarding (SB) shoes have been bashed for being ugly, Nike has been bashed for edging in on skateboarding, and meanwhile the Nike skateboarding team has been growing, their shoes have been getting better and more refined. The bottom line is, Nike knows how to make shoes, and Nike skateboarding shoes are well made with great features. The Nike Dunk is still the most popular Nike SB shoe all over the planet, while shoes like Paul Rodriguez's P-Rod II looks good and skates very well. Nike also has another arm that makes skateboarding shoes.

I-Path has an Earthy style all their own. Check out the I-Path Cats - they claim they're the most comfortable skateboarding shoes around. Full suede upper stained to natural browns with strong stitching and cord laces, the I-Path Cats look almost like moccasins. And that's the idea. If you're looking for a more quiet, earthy, or comfortable style.
